I've been nominated for the Harvey Award this year for my work on lettering The Spirit. This is good news indeed. That makes both a Harvey and an Eisner nomination this year. I'm calling it the comics 2 Step.

I really stepped up my game on this book and it's nice to see that hard work catching some recognition. I put everything I had inot that book. When it was all done, it felt like one of my finer projects. I think Darwyn does that to everyone he works with.

Been spending a decent amount of time working on some personal projects. There just aren't enough hours in the day. As wise man once said, if it aint one thing its the motherfucking other...

Speaking of Sentences, the book has won the Glyph Award for Story of the Year. My man Ron took it for Best Cover. Hopefully this is a sign of Eisners to come for all involved.

The online Bionic Commando comic I'm working on is updated every Wednesday. Check it out. Colin is killing it on every page. The colors are amazing. Andy isn't half bad either.

So I have been nominated for the 2008 Eisner Awards for BEST LETTTERING. I was nominated for my work on The Spirit, Sentences: Life of MF Grimm, and surprisingly, Catwoman. This is all awesome. NYCC 08 went very well. Big thanks to James from Oni for the hookup, Will for the drinks, and Lee for the laughs. I'll post pictures later in the week. Truth be told I mostly took pictures of toys and nothing really cool or funny.

So I moved into my newest studio Tuesday morning. Still unpacking everything. You can check the flickr site for pics of the new diggs. This new space is far superior to the space I was screwed out of in DUMBO back in February. I had to work out of the house for a month. Glad that's over.

I've been working with Capcom and Andy Diggle on a Bionic Commando comic for the new game. Check it out at www.bioniccommando.com/us/comics. Andy and I work on Hellblazer together. He's good people for bringing me onboard for this one. Still hoping I can swing a free copy of the new game out of all this.

A few of my boys made a movie last summer. They've been working the festival circuit with it. I came in and did some work for them. Posters, postcards, DVD menus, and some business cards. Some of the links in the logo section are dead. I know this. I'm waiting for editorial to tell me if I can show them or not. I've been doing a fair amount of logo stuff lately. It's always fun.
